All beautiful things must come to an end. The loveliest and most gentle bloodhound Leila (Int, Fin & Lv Ch. MultiWinner Maple Bay Nosmoke Nofire) passed away last Friday. I miss her terribly but now she is painfree, she had lymphoma. Until we meet again, my love..

Pennut lähteneet maailmalle // Puppies are out in the world

Pennut ovat lähteneet maailmalle, viimeiset kaksi Ruotsiin kaksi viikkoa sitten. Kotiin jäi Raimo-poika (Maple Bay Thyme Waits No One).

Puppies have left home, last two to Sweden two weeks ago. Raimo (Maple Bay Thyme Waits No One) stayed home.

Maple Bay Herb-pentue syntyi 4.8.2015 // Maple Bay Herb litter born Aug.4th, 2015

Railin ja Samin pennut (7u+1n) syntyivät 4.8. Kaikki ovat black&tan värisiä.

Raili's and Sam's puppies (7 males, 1 female) were born on Aug. 4th. All black&tan. 

Erikoisnäyttely 5.7.2015 //Specialty show of the Finnish Basset Hound Club Tuusula 5.7.2015

Suomen Bassetkerhon erikoisnäyttely pidettiin eilen Tuusulassa. ROP oli Maple Bay Echo of True "Ulla", VSP Maple Bay True Keeper Brillo "Torspo". "Shmi" (Maple Bay Truth Or Dare) oli PN2, "Fredi" (Maple Bay Mightyfirestone) EH/2. Ulla sai myös kiertopalkinnot "Paras Pää" ja "Parhaat Liikkeet". Lisäksi meillä oli ROP-kasvattajaryhmä. Tuomarina oli David R. Miller, USA. Päivän huipensi BIS1-kasvattajatitteli, tuomarina Jan Ryk, Puola.

The Specialty Show of the Finnish Basset Hound Club was held yesterday in Tuusula. BOB was Maple Bay Echo of True "Ulla", BOS Maple Bay True Keeper Brillo "Torspo". "Shmi" (Maple Bay Truth Or Dare) was Best Bitch 2, "Fredi" (Maple Bay Mightyfirestone) got "Very Good". Ulla also won the trophies for the "Best Head" and "Best Movement". Additionally we had BOB breeders group. The breed was judged by Mr. David R. Miller, US. To top the day, our breeders group took BIS1 Breeder, judged by Mr. Jan Ryk, Poland.

Pentuja odotettavissa 3.8.// Puppies expected August 3rd!!

Raili ultrattiin tiineeksi perjantaina, ainakin 8 pentua näkyi. Arvioitu syntyminen elokuun 3 pv. Pentukyselyt ovat tervetulleita!!

Raili's pregnancy was confirmed by ultrasound on Friday, at least 8 puppies were seen. Due date is August 3rd. Puppy inquiries are welcome!!

Raili siemennettiin lauantaina. Nyt odotellaan ultraa heinäkuun alussa peukut ja varpaat pystyssä! Jos pentuja tulee, laskettu aika on elokuun 3.

Raili was inseminated on Saturday. Now we have our fingers crossed and wait for the ultrasound to be done in the beginning of July. If she is pregnant, the due date is August 3rd.

Pentusuunnitelmia // Puppyplans

Ensi kesänä on tarkoitus astuttaa Raili (LvJW-12 Maple Bay My True Telstar) Samilla (Am GCh. Wychway-Noir’s Play It Again RN, MT).

Railin terveystutkimustulokset: lonkat C/B, kyynärpäät 0/0, polvet 0/0, selkäranka normaali (SP0, LTV0, VA0), olkanivelet normaalit, sydän normaali (ultra), silmät terveet (myös gonioskopia) 

Samin terveystutkimustulokset: lonkat OFA Good, kyynärpäät OFA normal, sydän OFA normal, DM terve

Sam’s health results: Hips OFA Good, OFA elbows normal, OFA cardiac normal
