Helsinki Winner 2012 & Winner 2012

Leila ja Fredi olivat lauantaina Helsinki Winner 2012 näyttelyssä. Tuomarina oli Jan Coppens, Hollanti. Leila oli ROP ja sai tittelin HeW-12. Fredi oli PU2 ja sai varacacibin. Ryhmässä Leila pääsi jatkoon muttei lopulta sijoittunut (sama tuomari). Sunnuntain Voittaja 2012-näyttelyssä meiltä oli kehässä vain Leila, ja se oli taas ROP ja sai tittelin V-12. Tuomarina oli Göran Bodegård, Ruotsi. Ryhmässä ei sijoitusta (Leila Kärkäs).

Sirkka muutti omaan kotiinsa Suolahteen itsenäisyyspäivänä.

Leila and Fredi were shown on Saturday at the Helsinki Winner 2012 show. Judge was Mr. Jan Coppens, Netherlands. Leila took BOB and got the title HeW-12. Fredi was best male 2 and got a res-cacib. In the group Leila made the cut but did not place (same judge). On Sunday only Leila was shown from my pack, and she took the breed again and got the title W-12. Judge was Mr. Göran Bodegård, Sweden. No placement in the group (judged by Mrs. Leila Kärkäs). Leila was expertly handled by Mariza Laakko, a big thank you!

Sirkka moved to her new home in Suolahti Finland on Independence day.

Jyväskylä Int show 11.11.2012

Leila oli ROP ja Torspo VSP tänään Jyväskylän KV-näyttelyssä. Ulla oli PN2 (ja saa Leilan cacibin kunhan FCI sen vahvistaa). Tuomarina Attila Àron Czeglédi, Unkari. Leilan esitti upeasti Mariza Laakko, iso kiitos! :)

Leila took BOB and Torspo BOS today in Jyväskylä Int show. Ulla was Best bitch 2 (and will get Leila's cacib later, when FCI confirms it). The judge was Mr. Attila Àron Czeglédi, Hungary. Leila was expertly handled by Mariza Laakko, a big thank you! :)

Vihikoirien joukkueottelu 2012 // Unofficial team trial 2012

Sunnuntaina oltiin vihien joukkueottelussa Leilan ja Railin kanssa Tammisaaressa. Vihikoirayhdistys järjestää vuosittain jäljestyskauden päätteeksi epävirallisen joukkueottelun, johon kutsun saavat ko. vuonna tuloksia kokeista saaneet koirat. Osallistujista muodostetaan kahden koirakon joukkueet. Jokainen joukkue saa tehtäväksi suorittaa kaksi jälkeä; toinen taajamassa, toinen metsässä. Taajamajäljen päässä on vain jäljenkävelijä, mutta metsäjäljellä on kolme henkilöä, joista koiran tulee tunnistaa oikea. Joukkueita oli kolme, kuten yleensä. Valitettavasti kaikki tuloksia saaneet koirat eivät päässeet paikalle.
Meidän joukkueesta Leila kokeneempana suoritti taajamajäljen ja Raili metsäjäljen. Raili ei ollut aiemmin jäljestänyt kuin maks. tunnin vanhan jäljen ja aina vain yhdellä maalimiehellä. Mutta eipä haitannut, Railin hyvän työskentelyn ja upean tunnistuksen ansiosta meidän tiimi voitti kisan. Pikkulikka on melkoisen pätevä pakkaus. :) Tuomarina oli Seija Heinola.

On Sunday we were at the team trial for the trailing bloodhounds in Tammisaari. The Finnish Bloodhound Association organizes the unofficial team trial every fall after the trailing season. The dogs that have gotten accepted results at the trials that year are invited. Participants are divided to teams consisting of two dogs and handlers. There were three teams as usually. Unfortunately not all dogs who got results this year were able to attend.
Each team has to work two trails, one in an urban area, one in the woods. At the end of the urban trail, there's only the runner, but at the end of the forest trail there are three persons of which the dog needs to id the correct one. From our team Leila worked the urban trail, as she's more experienced, and Raili worked the forest trail. Raili had only worked max. 1 hr old trails and only with one runner, but it did not matter. Because of her good work on the trail and beautiful id, our team won. The little girl is pretty clever. :) The trial was judged by Seija Heinola.

Viikonlopun tuloksia // Results from the weekend

Dio (Maple Bay Tru Brisco of Toledo), joka asuu Ruotsissa, suoritti lauantaina vihikoirien jälkikokeen “Högre klass” -luokan (vastaa Suomen avointa luokkaa). Jälki oli 7 h vanha ja maalissa oli 4 henkilöä, joista koiran piti tunnistaa oikea henkilö. Nyt Dio pääsee kilpailemaan korkeimmalle tasolle, jossa jälki on 18-24 h vanha. Onnea Tobias & Dio! J

Finja (Maple Bay Miss Trueblood), joka asuu Saksassa, kävi viikonloppuna kahdessa näyttelyssä Dortmundissa hakemassa parit lisäjunnu”sertit” ja valmistui täten Saksan Juniorivalioksi. Tuomareina olivat Damir Skok, Kroatia, ja Roberto Velez Picó, Puerto Rico. Viikkoa aiemmin Finja kävi Rostockin KV-näyttelyssä, tuomarina oli Monika Blaha, Itävalta, ja sieltäkin se sai junnusertin ollen ROP-juniori. Finjan valiotitteli on tämän pentueen ensimmäinen! Dio (Maple Bay Tru Brisco of Toledo), living in Sweden, passed the “Higher class” in mantrailing on Saturday (equivalent to our Open class). The trail was 7 hrs old, there were 4 persons at the end and the dog had to id the correct person. Now Dio moves on to the highest level, where the trail will be 18-24 hrs old. Congrats to Tobias & Dio! J

Finja (Maple Bay Miss Trueblood), living in Germany, visited two shows in Dortmund during the weekend. She got two more junior “certificates” and thus finished her German Junior Champion title. The judges were Mr. Damir Skok, Croatia, and Mr. Roberto Velez Picó, Puerto Rico. Week before this, Finja visited the Rostock Int show, judged by Mrs. Monika Blaha, Austria, and got the junior certificate there too, and was BOB junior. Finja’s title is the first champion title in this litter! Congrats Karsten, Annett, Sina & Finja! J

Jälkikoe Kuru 23.9.2012 // Mantrailing trial in Kuru

Torspo (Maple Bay True Keeper Brillo) kilpaili ensimmäistä kertaa avoimessa luokassa, tuloksena AVO1 ja  kokeen Kokonaisvoittaja. Myös emänsä Leila (Maple Bay Nosmoke Nofire) sai AVO1-tuloksen. Mukana kisassa oli "meidän perheestä" myös Shmi (Maple Bay Truth Or Dare), jolla tuloksena AVO0 - no, ens kerralla sit! Tuomarina oli Ismo Koiranen.

Torspo (Maple Bay True Keeper Brillo) competed in the open class for the very first time, his result was Open 1 and he was the Grand Trial Winner. Also his dam Leila (Maple Bay Nosmoke Nofire) got an Open 1 result. Shmi (Maple Bay Truth Or Dare) was also representing our family in this trial, she got Open 0 - well, next time then! Our judge was Ismo Koiranen.

Sydäntarkastus // Heart check

Raili ja Sirkka saivat terveen paperit virallisessa sydäntarkastuksessa tänään. Molempien sydämet ultrattiin, kaikki kunnossa. (Ullalla on sivuääni todettu jo pentuna, mikä ei tosin millään lailla ole tähän mennessä menoa haitannut).

Raili and Sirkka got cardiac clearance today. Both were ultrasounded for their hearts and everything was normal. (Ulla has a murmur, which was diagnosed already as a puppy, even though it has not affected her in any way so far).

Leila (Maple Bay Nosmoke Nofire) suoritti lauantaina toisen pelastuskoirien jälkikokeensa (peruspäiväkoe). Nyt on molemmat peruskokeet suoritettu, vielä on loppukokeet jäljellä. Dio (Maple Bay Tru Brisco Of Toledo) oli ROP kera sertin ja cacibin Sofieron KV-näyttelyssä. Tuomarina oli Nina Karlsdotter, Ruotsi.

Leila (Maple Bay Nosmoke Nofire) passed her 2nd SAR tracking test on Saturday (basic test in daylight). Now she has passed both basic tests, she still needs to pass the final tests. Dio (Maple Bay Tru Brisco Of Toledo) took BOB with a CC & CACIB at the Sofiero Int show. The judge was Mrs. Nina Karlsdotter, Sweden.

Lauantaina oltiin erikoisnäyttelyssä, vihejä oli yhteensä paikalla 9. Tuomarina oli Ainslie Carius, Australia. Ulla oli ROP kera sertin, Leila PN2, Shmi PN3 kera varasertin, Raili ei tykännyt yhtään esiintyä vaan tahtoi pois kehästä ja sai tyytyä arvosanaan "Hyvä". Torspo oli PU2 kera sertin. Lisäksi meillä oli ROP-kasvattajaryhmä. Loppukisoissa ei sijoituksia tullut, paitsi parikisassa Johanna esitti Torspon ja Railin BIS-4:ksi (tuomari Jette Vind Ramvad, Tanska).

On Saturday we were at the Specialty Show, altogether nine bloodhounds were shown. Our judge was Ms. Ainslie Carius, Australia. Ulla took BOB with a CC, Leila was 2nd best bitch, Shmi 3rd best bitch with a res-CC, Raili did not feel like showing at all and just wanted to leave the ring, thus she only got a "Good". Torspo was 2nd best male with a CC. In addition we got BOB breedeers group. We did not place at the finals, except for the brace competition, where Johanna showed Torspo and Raili and got BIS-4 brace (judged by Mrs. Jette Vind Ramvad, Denmark).

Finja (Maple Bay Mis s Trueblood) joka asuu Saksassa, kävi viime viikonloppuna Leipzigin kv-näyttelyssä ja oli PN2 ja sai tittelin "VDH Jugendsiegerin"! Näyttelyssä oli yhteensä 6 vihiä (2 urosta, 4 narttua). Tuomarina oli Ashley Reid, Australia. Tämä oli Finjan ensimmäinen näyttely virallisessa luokassa (aiemmin on ollut vain yksi pentuluokassa). Finja (Maple Bay Miss Trueblood) living in Germany was shown last weekend in Leipzig Int show and she was best bitch 2 and received the title "VDH Jugendsiegerin"! Altogether 6 bloodhounds (2 dogs, 4 bitches) were shown. The judge was Mr. Ashley Reid from Australia. This was Finja's 1st show in regular classes (earlier she's been shown only once in puppy class). Congrats!  Thank you for the picture, Karsten! :)

Kouvola all breed show 18.8.2012

Leila oli ROP Kouvolassa lauantaina. Ryhmässä se pääsi jatkoon mutta paahtavassa helteessä ei huvittanut esiintyä, joten ei sijoitusta. Tuomarina rodussa ja ryhmässä Massimiliano Mannucci, Italia.

Leila took BOB in Kouvola all breed show on Sat and she made the cut in the group, but she did not feel like showing in the extremely hot weather, so no placement. Breed and group judged by Mr. Massimiliano Mannucci, Italy. 

Sirkka (Maple Bay True Love Waits) oli ensimmäistä kertaa näyttelyssä Pori KV:ssa eilen. Tuloksena ROP kera sertin. Leila jäi toiseksi (PN2, CACIB) ja VSP oli Saunatytön Barokki. Tuomarina oli Marjatta Pylvänäinen-Suorsa.

Sirkka (Maple Bay True Love Waits) made her show debut yesterday at the Pori Int show. She won BOB with a CC. Leila was best bitch 2 and got CACIB. BOS was Saunatytön Barokki.

Alokasluokka suoritettu! // Novice class passed!

Lapset Sirkka, Raili, Ulla sekä Shmi ja Torspo suorittivat vihikoirien jälkikokeen alokasluokan tänään Kurussa. Tuomarina oli Seija Heinola. Kokeen kokonaisvoittaja oli Torspo. Kaikki jäljestivät hienosti vaikka koko päivän satoi ja tuuli.

Kids Sirkka, Raili, Ulla and Shmi and Torspo passed the Novice class in mantrailing today in Kuru. Our judge was Seija Heinola. The grand trial winner was Torspo. All the dogs worked well eventhough it was rainy and windy all day.

Sukukokous 26-27.5. // Family reunion

Shmi kävi kylässä ja Kajsa tuli hoitoon viikoksi. Pikkutytöt jäljestivät harjoitusjäljet ensi lauantain koetta silmällä pitäen ja uivat ensimmäistä kertaa elämässään. Railista ei tullut otettua yhtään kuvaa, ei uimassa eikä jäljellä. :-/

Shmi was visiting us and Kajsa came to stay at my place for a week. The little girls ran practice trails (trial coming next Saturday) and swam for the very first time. We did not take any pics of Raili, not on the trail nor swimming. :-/

Leilan ensimmäinen pelastuskoejälki suoritettu // Leila's first SAR tracking test passed

Leila suoritti viime yönä ensimmäisen osan pelastuskoirien jälkikokeesta (peruskoe pimeässä). Vielä kolme koetta vaaditaan hälytyskoiraksi tuloon.

Leila passed her first leg of SAR tracking test (basic test in the dark) last night. Three more trials are needed on her way to an official SAR dog.

Tampere Int show 13.5.2012

Leila oli ROP, poikansa Torspo VSP kera sertin ja tyttärensä Ulla PN2 kera sertin. Tuomarina Tanya Ahlman-Stockmari. Leilan esitti taas Leena, kiitos! :)

Leila took BOB, her son Torspo was BOS with a CC and her daughter Ulla was 2nd best bitch with a CC. Our judge was Tanya Ahlman-Stockmari, Finland. Leila was again handled by Leena, thanks! :)

Lahti Int show 29.4.2012

Leila oli tänään ROP & RYP-3, tuomarina Kresten Scheel, Tanska. Torspo oli VSP ja sai ekan serttinsä. Ulla oli PN2 ja sai sertin. Shmi sai JUN ERI, JUK2 ja Raili, jonka häntä pysyi alhaalla kehässä, oli hyvästä arvostelusta huolimatta JUN EH, JUK3. Ja kasvattajaluokasta tuli KP, ROP-kasvattaja (Team Liver; Torspo, Shmi, Raili, Ulla) aivan ihanalla arvostelulla, kiitos Kresten Scheel! :) Kiitokset kaikille osallisille jotka teitte mun erityispäivästäni vielä erityisemmän! :)

Leila took BOB & Group 3rd today under Mr. Kresten Scheel, Denmark. Torspo was BOS with his first CC. Ulla took best bitch 2 with a CC. Shmi got an "Excellent" and placed 2nd in class, and Raili, who did not carry her tail in the ring at all, got a "Very good" and placed third in class, eventhough her critique was wonderful as well. And we also got Best of Breed Breeders group (Team liver; Torspo, Shmi, Raili, Ulla) with a truly lovely critique, a thank you to Kresten Scheel! Thank you to all of you who made my special day even more special! :)

Dio suoritti tänään True-pentueen ensimmäisenä jälkikokeen alokasluokan Ruotsissa. Tuomarina oli Karl-Erik Karlsson. Onnea Tobias ja Dio hienosta suorituksesta!

Dio passed his mantrailing trial (Novice class) today in Sweden, as the first puppy from the True litter. The judge was Mr. Karl-Erik Karlsson. Congratulations to Tobias and Dio of a job welldone!

Latvian Winner 2012 show

Leila oli ROP (ja sai kolme uutta titteliä: C.I.B. (=Kans MVA, odottaa FCI:n vahvistusta), LvMVA ja LvW-12) eilen Latvian Voittaja 2012 -näyttelyssä Riigassa, Latviassa. Poikansa Torspo debytoi junioriluokassa ja oli VSP ja se sai LvJW-12 -tittelin. Raili oli PN3 ja sai myös LvJW-12 -tittelin. Yhteensä kuusi vihiä oli kehässä, tuomarina oli Jan Coppens, Alankomaat.

Leila took BOB (and got three more titles: C.I.B. (=Int Ch, pending FCI approval), Lv Ch. and LvW-12 yesterday at the Latvian Winner 2012 show in Riga, Latvia. Her son Torspo made his debut in the junior class and took BOS (and got the LvJW-12 title). Raili was best bitch 3 and got the LvJW-12 title as well. Altogether six bloodhounds in the ring, judge was Mr. Jan Coppens, Netherlands.
